Stat. § 609.17 (1996), is not an element of the offense of domestic abuse murder under Minn. Stat. § 609.185(6) (1996). 2. To sustain a conviction for pattern harassment, Minn. Stat. § 609.749, subd. 5 (1996), the state must prove beyond a reasonable doubt each element of pattern harassment, including elements of the underlying crimes.
